Overview
After learning the basics of Unreal Engine 5, we were asked to create a simple video game. The video game created was that of a firefighter who has to collect water droplets to extinguish the flames that are destroying a forest.

Learning the tool
First we learnt the basics of UE5. From materials to meshes, I have captured my journey of learning the basics of UE5 in my blog posts. We also learnt blueprinting.
Forest Fire Game
Application of the knowledge was through creating a small explore and collect game. The concept of forest fire where water droplets were collected in order to extinguish the fire. Else the fire fighter sustain injury and game over.

What it Involved
The process involved creating a basic user flow in order to create UI screens, levels, blueprints, sound effects, and game logic.
VR Snowman Bowling
To expand our knowledge, we also learnt the basics of UE5 for virtual reality by building a simple bowling game. We covered nav meshes, physics and grab components. Since the users enjoyed flinging the snowmen, I added a grab component to them.
